Become a QP – learn ANYTIME, ANYWHERE and AT YOUR OWN PACE.

The Pharmaceutical industry is changing fast and for Qualified Person (QP) candidates it is increasingly difficult to find the time to acquire the knowledge and experience needed to successfully complete their training to become a QP.  At the same time as these pressures are growing, people are changing the way they learn – the web has opened up a world of informal and collaborative learning that can complement more traditional methods.

IAGT has begun the development of a QP learning programme that looks to provide candidates with a unique and innovative approach to meet these challenges and to exploit these new proven and highly effective learning techniques.

The primary goal of our programme is to ensure, using the most effective learning methods available, that all QP candidates develop the knowledge, skills and experience to ensure they are thoroughly prepared to successfully become a QP.  In addition we aim to provide each candidate with a solid foundation of knowledge and expertise to be able to adapt to the future challenges facing the pharmaceutical industry.

The IAGT QP programme has been specifically designed to minimise time away from the work place as well as offering a blend of modern learning methods including;

• On-line learning undertaken anytime and anywhere (internet access permitting)

• Continuous assessment and learning review

• A tailored programme to meet your exact learning needs

• Where appropriate, one or two day face-to-face group workshops to reinforce the web based learning

• Alternately, completion of an assignment involving a substantial written piece of work demonstrating the ability to organise and present arguments, with factual evidence and considered scientific opinion. This can be used as part of your body of evidence for the Viva.

• Mentoring and coaching throughout, including the involvement of the QP sponsor

The first module that is now available is Microbiology with Medchem and Maths and Stats available shortly. Traditional 3 day classroom courses are available for inhouse delivery for the MedChem and the QMS modules.
